What I do
differently...
I treat physical, mental, individual, and group health as interconnected
In the mental health sector, mental health is treated as a separate discipline from physical health. Mental problems are rarely just mental, and
physical problems are rarely just physical. The same goes for individual versus group health. We treat individuals for their individual problems, but humans
are inherently social. Our social connections play a huge part in how we feel, and we spend most of our social time at work. Employee health isn’t an individual
problem, it’s a social problem. The biggest stressors for individuals not work itself, but how work is (socially) organized. If you want to change in a meaningful way, you needhelp that takes these interconnections into account. I take an integrative approach to your health, using a variety of practices that are both mental and physical, and both at the individual and group level in order to help you reach your goals.
I use an integrative approach
While many therapists or trainers use one or two methods to accomodate a variaty of problems, I think that different problems and different people require different solutions. Therefore, I use an integrative approach. This means that I have a large variety of tools in my toolbox. You can think of sleep, exercise, social connection, breathwork, nutrition, yoga, meditation, journaling, habit formation, emotion regulation, cognitive behavioral interventions, or internal family systems interventions.
I put equal emphasis on insight and implementation
When you go to a workshop or lecture, it often happens that what happens in the workshop, stays in the workshop. You can get great insights, but little happens after you leave the session. I am not just a person you see once in a while. I am committed to helping you make lasting change. As part of a workshop (series) you will not only have sessions with me, but you will also receive individual and group homework exercises and check-ups. It is my goal to teach you how to keep moving forward on your own. Everyone who enters my workshops can follow my at-home audio course on habit formation in order to understand how they can implement their learnings into their lives, prepare for sessions, and create habits that will last after our worshop (series) is over.
